This is yet another website that I created to test out and experiment with yet another platform. This is hosted on Amazon AWS Lightsail, which is a really cheap host. You can run web apps start from as low as $3.50 / month.
This takes a little more work, though, than the full service hosts like Godaddy, which have user-friendly GUI interfaces to do things and pretty decent live help. (By “decent”, I mean I usually have no trouble getting in touch with someone on live chat. Often, they are not so good at solving problems, but I do usually get things resolved.)
But with AWS, you have much more control over various aspects, plus I just realized the Amazon SES (Simple Email Service) is really great and cheap, compared to say, having to use SendGrid or some other paid service. You also get to integrate a lot of other AWS services (of which AWS SES is one, there is s3 storage and many other things).
